Mateusz’s decision to attend UK Football Trials stemmed from a desire to prove himself on a new stage. He explains, “I wanted to change my environment and test myself at a good level. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to show my skills to scouts and push myself further.” 

The trials offered Mateusz a chance to perform in front of top scouts and demonstrate his capabilities. His hard work paid off as he caught the attention of three clubs: Blackpool, Ramsbottom United, and Atherton. Reflecting on the moment he learned he had been scouted, Mateusz says, “I was very happy with my performance. I knew it was the result of my hard work.” 

His club trial experiences have been equally rewarding. While waiting for further contact from Blackpool, Mateusz remains focused and determined to seize every opportunity. “Everything went according to plan,” he shares. “I will try to use all chances and possibilities as best as I can.” This proactive attitude underscores his commitment to making the most of his opportunities. 

The experience at UK Football Trials also taught Mateusz valuable lessons about the importance of self-confidence. “I believe that self-confidence and hard work are the keys to success,” he states. Competing alongside talented players, he aimed to stand out and make a difference. “Yes, the players were really good,” he acknowledges, “but I tried to stay confident and focus on what I could bring to the game.”

Moving to a new country and adapting to a different football culture could have been daunting, but he saw it as an opportunity for growth. “The opportunity to prove myself in a new environment was too good to pass up,” he explains.
