Tristan Chambers: Hard Work Pays Off with QPR Interest

At just 14 years old, Tristan Chambers is proving that dedication, resilience, and continuous development can open doors to exciting opportunities. A versatile defender capable of playing at centre-back, full-back, and on the wing, his journey has been a story of determination and steady progress. Now, after attending UK Football Trials, he’s caught the attention of Queens Park Rangers, with a trial invitation on the horizon.

Tristan’s footballing journey began at Risborough Rangers, where he played both as a central midfielder and striker. He quickly made an impression, working his way up from the bottom team to the top team in just three to six months. His rapid improvement demonstrated not only his technical ability but also his commitment to development. This early experience gave him a solid foundation, but he knew he needed more exposure to higher levels of competition.

His next step was playing for RTC JPL Oxfordshire, where he tested himself against academy-level players. This experience proved crucial in developing his confidence and ability to perform under pressure. Competing at a high level pushed him to refine his game and prepared him for greater challenges ahead.

Understanding the importance of refining his game outside of team training, Tristan also works one-on-one with ex-professional footballer Mustapha Dumbuya. These sessions have helped him improve key aspects of his game, from positioning and defensive awareness to technical skills and fitness. His commitment to extra training highlights his determination to reach the highest level.

His persistence and hard work paid off when UK Football Trials informed him that he had been scouted by QPR. “I received an email from the QPR scout requesting my details to invite me for a trial,” Tristan explained. It was a huge moment for him, a sign that his dedication was being recognised by professional clubs. Now, he eagerly awaits his opportunity to step onto the pitch and prove himself at a professional academy level.

Reflecting on his UK Football Trials experience, Tristan emphasised the importance of perseverance. “I learned from my first trial to keep persevering, even when I didn’t get scouted at first. You have to keep your head up, especially when big teams are watching.” His best moment during the trial? “The match – because I could express myself and showcase my abilities.”

Tristan originally chose UK Football Trials because of their professionalism and well-organised approach. When asked if he’d recommend them to other players, his answer was clear: “Yes, because it’s a professional and well-run platform for players to get noticed.”

While he awaits his trial with QPR, Tristan remains focused on his development. Every training session, every match, and every moment spent improving his game is another step closer to achieving his dreams. His journey is a testament to the power of persistence, self-belief, and hard work.

We’ll be following his progress closely and wishing him the best of luck as he takes the next steps in his football journey. Keep pushing forward, Tristan – the hard work is paying off!
