Amen Abdelaziz (Age 13) – Striker Scouted by Manchester United and Morecambe at UK Football Trials 

At just 13 years old, Amen Abdelaziz has already caught the attention of two professional clubs — including Manchester United and Morecambe — following a standout performance at UK Football Trials. 

Amen, who plays as a striker and winger, has a background that sets him apart. Like his older brother, he played football at a high level in Egypt, where the two shared a passion for the game and a dream of going professional. After moving to the UK, Amen brought that same ambition and determination with him. 

“I was playing professionally in Egypt,” Amen explained. “Now I’m here, looking to continue my pro career.” 

When Amen stepped onto the pitch at his UK Football Trial, he knew the opportunity was unlike anything he’d experienced before — with multiple academy scouts watching closely, including those from some of the biggest clubs in England. 

“The best moment was knowing there were a lot of scouts watching,” he said. “It made the trial feel really important — like this was my chance.” 

And it certainly was. Shortly after the event, Amen found out he had been scouted by Manchester United and Morecambe — a dream scenario for any young footballer. It was a moment filled with excitement and pride for him and his family. 

“Once UK Football Trials told me I’d been scouted, I couldn’t believe it,” Amen shared. “Now I’m just waiting to hear the next steps from Manchester United. I’m so excited.” 

The exposure Amen received was the highlight of the day. He was inspired by the professional setup, the quality of the coaches, and the level of competition. 

“It was amazing exposure,” he said. “There were so many players showing their talent, and the coaches helped push us all to do our best.” 

Amen’s decision to attend UK Football Trials was encouraged by his dad, who had heard good things about the organisation — and their reputation for helping talented players get noticed. 

“My dad knows about UK Football Trials and knew it was the right place to go,” Amen said. “Now I’ve been scouted by one of the biggest clubs in the world.” 

Despite his young age, Amen is already showing the kind of drive and commitment that scouts look for in a player. He’s not only taking this opportunity seriously but also already planning his return to future trials. 

“Would I recommend it? Sure, 100%,” Amen said. “I’m definitely coming again!” 

With Manchester United and Morecambe watching closely, and a mindset focused on growth and opportunity, Amen is determined to keep improving and show why he belongs at the highest level. 

“I’m waiting for Manchester United to give me a trial. I’m so excited,” he said. “I just want to keep going, keep learning, and take my chance when it comes.”
