Kofi, who plays as a central attacking midfielder, was spotted by a Reading scout at our trial in London in October. When we asked the scout what caught his eye, he said that Kofi's skill, awareness and technical ability stood out.

Kofi has been training with Reading for the last month, and is set to continue training with the u14's side twice a week for the foreseeable. His first match is coming up this weekend where he will represent the academy in a friendly.

Speaking to his bother, Yaw, who has also been with Reading's academy for the last 18 months, he said: "Kofi really liked the session with UK Football Trials. He said to me that the coaches put on a good training session for him and the game at the end allowed him to show off a bit of his flair and skill."

Yaw said: "Kofi's never been anywhere on trial or at any club and after coming to a couple of UK Football Trials, he's now training regularly with a pro club, so it was a great opportunity for him. I came to a trial recently as well and we both really enjoyed the day."
