John, who plays as a Goalkeeper, was scouted by League Two club Dagenham & Redbridge after attending our trial in West London in December 2015. This trial is John's first experience in professional football, barring a short spell with Brentford's Development as a 12-year-old. He currently plays for semi-pro side Peckham Town.

Dagenham Trial:

Speaking ahead of his football trial, John said: "I can't wait to get in and give it a go, it's a new challenge for me. My aim is to hopefully impress and stay on with the club, I'm at the age now where I'm really looking for a scholarship."

Attributes:

"I'd say that shot stopping is my best attribute, I've always been good at that. The shooting drill that we did at UK Football Trials really allowed me to show that off and I think that's where I impressed the scouts. I'm also good at collecting crosses, I'm tall so I can command the area quite well I think."

UKFT Experience: 

"I loved the UK Football Trial, the coaching was great. I felt a few nerves before but as soon as I went out on the pitch to play football all the nerves went away and I enjoyed myself. I'd definitely recommend the football trial, being a Goalkeeper it's tough to get opportunities but they really gave me the stage to shine."
