Ferdy, who plays as a centre attacking midfielder or as a striker, attended our trial in 2014 and showed off his strength and power, standing at 6ft 2'. We placed him into 2 pro club trials before he moved away to Latvia and has been playing football in the Europa League in the last year. 

Europa League:

Ferdy said: "I signed a six-month contract with FK Spartaks Jurmala, a team in the Latvian Higher League. We beat a team from Montenegro in the first round of the Europa League and were knocked out by a Serbian 1st Division side - if we beat them we had Sampdoria next so that was disappointing!"

European Experience: 

"It was a great experience, every second, every training session. The football is different, Europa League games are amazing and it's a different environment to playing in England. I was offered an extension to stay but I wanted to try to earn a contract in England or Germany and that's my goal now."

Next Step:

"I'm coming to another UK Football Trial in April to try to find myself a club, I had a great experience last time and they still keep in touch with me to see how I'm getting on and I thank them for that and the opportunity they gave me. You don't get long in football, every year is like 10 in another job."
