Hashim Khan, 15, is on trial with Preston North End and is being closely watched by Premier League side Burnley after impressing several scouts at the trial in Manchester last month.

The centre-forward, who stands at 5 foot 8', put on an impressive display for the scouts on the day and received interest from five seperate clubs.

Preston have already firmed up their interest and invited Hashim in for a trial last Friday, while Burnley have since sent a scout to watch him play again for his local side. 

Samera, Hashim's Auntie, revealed that he was delighted with the news and is looking to bounce back from the "devastation" of a previous trial. 

"The Head of Recruitment from Preston contacted us and invited Hashim to go in on trial last week. He told me it was "wicked" and he scored a goal which always helps - hopefully he'll be featuring in a match against Walsall for the u16's on Friday.

"Obviously he was delighted with the news. He had a trial with another Championship club previously and when they said no he was absolutely devastated. We were trying to get him over that upset and found UK Football Trials online and from then on it's been really good for him and he's been really happy."

Samera added: "The UK Football Trial was brilliant, he loved the session with the coaches and the scorecard he got back with his feedback, it will definitely help him going forward. 

"It was a long day with lots of time on the pitch and I thought it was very well structured and everything was running on time."

Premier League side Burnley will continue to keep a close eye on Hashim and are planning to watch him again in the coming weeks.

Head of Academy Recruitment, Tom Reeves, who spotted Hashim on the day, revealed what caught his eye: "Hashim has great pace and produced some really neat and tidy finishes during the game. He was playing with the older boys and as the youngest player on the pitch, scored a couple of goals and more than held his own."
