Kane Crichlow, 16, has been to several UK Football Trial events over the last two years and we most recently brought you news of him playing for Wimbledon against Chelsea in November.

Since then, Kane returned to more of our trials in February and that decision is already paying dividends.

Just days after he was scouted at our West London event Kane was invited to play against Reading U17’s in a trial game with his cousin, Aaron – they lost 3-2 but Kane and Aaron scored for the trialists team.

But it didn’t end there for Kane, just days later at another UK Football Trial event, it was decided he would spend a week with Bournemouth AFC, a now established Premier League side.

Kane started his trial on Monday, 27th February and will have the opportunity to play in at least one game for the club during his weeklong stay.

UK Football Trials Agent Luke Hughes, who represents Kane, described this as something that could be a “perfect fit” for both club and player.

“He played very well at the trials and got a lot of interest, which is fantastic,” said Luke.

“To play and score against an established academy side in Reading shows his quality and we’re grateful to them for the opportunity.”

Luke added: “The week with Bournemouth will hopefully be beneficial for everyone involved – the academy is always looking for quality players and from Kane’s point of view it’s a Premier League club that has a good record of bringing through young players – potentially it could be a perfect fit.”

Options is something Kane is never lacking, and whatever the outcome with Bournemouth he has been invited for a trial with West Ham United and Charlton Athletic.

Kane is currently playing for a School Football Academy where he is playing regularly against top sides from around the country and his team features several internationals.
