Emile, like thousands of other youngsters, is an aspiring footballer desperate to break into the professional game. His father, Nathan, told us ‘Emile’s dream is to become a signed player so he can grow with a club and develop.We reached out to UK Football Trials to progress this and at the trial he was scouted by three clubs, and really enjoyed the sessions.’

One of those clubs was Premier League team Stoke City. Emile, 11, was invited for a two-week trial.

‘The Stoke academy trial was good despite him only getting one week with the main academy team due to our holiday’, said Nathan.

Emile was then asked to attend the development centre so they could keep an eye on his progress – and did this for several months until Christmas.

Nathan added, ‘We could have continued there, but due to travel and interest from another club, we decided to focus elsewhere instead’.

Since then, Emile has been attending Manchester United’s emerging talent academy and is continuing to progress his development.

Nathan complimented UK Football Trials, saying, ‘As a parent I found the session good, and it was nice to get feedback on areas where Emile needed to improve to achieve the goal of becoming signed to a professional club.’
