Daniel Adaja - Aged 18 - SIGNED for semi-pro club Manford Way
18-year-old Daniel Adaja has signed for semi-pro club Manford Way, after impressing scouts at our trial event earlier this year.
The central midfielder was one of the stand out performers when he joined us in West London, and was soon putting pen to paper for Manford Way.
He explained: “I came to UK Football Trials and then two days later I got an email saying someone was interested.
“The next week I got an invite to Manford Way’s training ground and I signed after one session and was straight into the squad that weekend – I came on in the second half and we won 2-1.”
Daniel added: “We’ve been playing 4-3- so it gives me an opportunity to get into the game. It’s been a great experience to get playing men’s football and really good to get games under my belt, it’s a steep learning curve.”
Playing with older players is not something new for Daniel, who used to play for Barnet’s academy aged16, before moving to Staines Town u23’s and playing against opponents up to seven years his senior.
His most recent career move saw him sway the Essex Senior to play in Malta, but he soon returned claiming, “the weather was nice but there was no progression.”
Daniel continued: “I go to the gym three times a week and play football four times – three with local clubs and once by myself with a one-to-one coach.
“My advice for other players going to UK Football Trials would be to be confident and show what you can do.
At UK Football Trials there is a good level of coaching, intensity and it’s a great opportunity.
