Jeremy Adu-Tei - Aged 13 - Trial for Wolves
13-year-old forward Jeremy Adu-Tei scored a hat-trick in a trial game for Wolves, following a dominant display at our event in April.
Jeremy, who also had a trial with West Ham’s academy last year, was one of the stand out players at QPR’s Training Ground and was contacted by a Wolves scout who wanted to see him again, his dad Theo explained.
“After going to UK Football Trials he was looked at by a Wolves scout and he said they were going through their final selection phase, Jeremy was invited to play in a trial in front of the Wolves coaches.
“So in early April he played against a local u12’s district team and won 6-1 - he played as a striker and scored a hat-trick, so couldn’t have done much better really.
“It all happened really quickly, he was scouted at the trial on Monday 9th April and was playing in the game for Wolves on Wednesday, he was in his element and absolutely loved it.”
Wolves were understood to be pleased with Jeremy’s performance, however they unfortunately had to inform him that he hadn’t been selected to go forward to the next stage as the academy was already strong in his position.
Feeling that Jeremy had too much potential to simply be dismissed however, the scout did pass his details on to two other London-based clubs - one of whom play in the Premier League - so he remains optimistic of another chance in the near future.
We would like to congratulate Jeremy on being scouted by Wolves and scoring a hat-trick in this trial game, and we wish him all the best in his football going forward.
