Ebrima Jobe - Aged 16 - Trial for Stalybridge Celtic
Ebrima Jobe, 16, caught the eye of scouts at our event in July and was invited for a trial with Stalybridge Celtic.
We saw Ebrima, who plays in midfield, at two of our Manchester trials in May and July at Stockport Sports Village – it was second time lucky for Ebrima and he soon received contact from Stalybridge, who play in the Norther Premier League Premier Division.
“They emailed me a week after my UK Football Trial and I went along for training,” said Ebrima when we spoke to him yesterday.
“I played in a couple of games and we beat Southport 9-2 with me playing central-defensive midfield. It’s a good club and I enjoyed my time there.”
Since the trial, Ebrima has signed for Curzon Ashton where he is currently playing for their u17’s.
And although he didn’t sign for Stalybridge, Ebrima placed on record his thanks to UK Football Trials for the opportunity.
He said: “UK Football Trials were brilliant, thank you for the opportunity. I thought I wasn’t good enough but I was scouted so it gave me confidence to take forward into my football.”
