William Amadi - Aged 14 - Trial for Watford
14-year-old William Amadi was recently scouted by Premier League outfit Watford whilst on trial at one of our events in Aveley on February 18th.
This wasn’t William’s first experience with a professional club, previously having trials and playing with Stevenage Football Club for a year.
When asked how he heard of his trial with Watford, William said: “I came to UK Football Trials and got an email inviting me to come down and play a match.”
William elaborated on what happened during his trial, explaining: “We went out to the dome and did quite a lot of ball work. Then we played a match where we won 3-0 and I played 30 minutes.”
William spoke very highly of Watford stating “Watford were very professional, the coaches were great and it felt good to pull on the top.”
Unsure where he stands now William told us “It went okay, I was just happy I got a chance. They said they will be in touch and let me know what’s going to happen next. Hopefully they’ll call me back and I get another chance to show what I can do.”
