Bradlee Clark-Maisiri - Aged 16 - Signed for Farnborough

16-year-old Bradlee Clark-Maisiri was scouted at our West London event back in April by semi-pro side Farnborough F.C and was invited to trial with the club.

We spoke to Bradlee’s mother for a little more information on his footballing background. She explained: “He currently plays for a local team here in our area, Hertfordshire. He’s been playing football since he was around 4-years-old really and worked his way up. It’s his passion, he absolutely loves it.”

When also asked about any previous trials Bradlee has attended in the past, she told us: “Bradlee did the trial with you guys in April, and previously in 2017 which unfortunately he wasn’t scouted at. But he came back, didn’t give up and was successful this time. I’m very proud of him.”

“The response was very quick from yourselves after his details were requested, you were in touch the next day to say he had be scouted. Bradlee was over the moon with that as you can imagine.” She added.

Bradlee’s mu went on to explain what happened with Farnborough, explaining: “About a week after being told he was scouted, he was invited down by Farnborough to a training day. It was around an hour and a half to two hours and he absolutely loved it.”

“The session was mainly training, with a match at the end between all the lads. Bradlee was given an information pack about hopefully joining Farnborough. The manager was very happy that he came along to the trial and really supports him, so we’re really looking forward to getting him enrolled.” She added.

Being in a new environment, we wondered how Bradlee got on and what his thoughts on the level of Farnborough were. His mother explained: “Bradlee was really impressed with the level of coaching at Farnborough. I think he did find it challenging to begin with, as it’s a different level of training than he is used to. But he really got on with the other boys and they really mixed as a team. I couldn’t find any faults with the training session and Bradlee really did enjoy it, he got a lot out of it.”

When asked what Bradlee’s next steps are his mum told us: “What we’re doing at the moment is filling out all of the forms and getting them back to Marc the manager, and then hopefully he should be starting with them in September. It’s great news, as I said it’s always been his passion. He’s got a good head on his shoulders that boy; he never gives up and is always enthusiastic. Hopefully things can work out and he can go far with this.”

We are delighted with the news of Bradlee impressing at Farnborough and wish him the best of luck with the club. Bradlee is a prime example of how hard work and not giving up is essential in becoming a better player.
