1) Well done Oliver on getting scouted and having a trial with Watford! What is your football history – i.e. who you played for, any notable achievements?

I started playing in Netherlands at FC Hillegom and then moved to Ireland where I joined Naas AFC. Had a great opportunity to play in the selection team in both countries. We moved to the Dublin league as Rathcoole a few seasons back and got promoted each year. 

I was invited to u19 county trials through my school, monitored by English club sides since 2018(through UK football trials), selected as Coach's and Player's player at UK football trials in August 2019 and I was invited to trials with Watford Autumn 2019.

2) What was the reason why you think you weren’t getting an opportunity and decided to come to a trial?

I moved to Ireland in my teens so I was not really known in Ireland.

3) What was your club trial/training like – i.e what did you do, how did you find the whole experience.

It was great. The grounds and facilities were perfect. The coaches were brilliant! Setup very professional.

4) Has there been any feedback or decisions made and if so what did the club your were trialling with say?

The trial is still in process. I have my second trial day tomorrow.

5) What advice would you give to other players who think they have the talent but need an opportunity to get scouted?

Try it out with UK football trials! If you have talent the scouts will notice you. All you have to do is work hard and be yourself.
