Deri-Delma - Aged 16 - Trial for Accrington Stanley
Attending our Manchester event from Ireland, left-back Deri-Delma Tiendioh, 16 was scouted by League One side Accrington Stanley.
Talking with Deri’s Aunt on his footballing history, she explained: “Deri has played since he was 5 and has always played for grassroots teams. He has never had trials with clubs before.”
When asked why she chose to bring Deri along to our event, she told us: “The standard of football in Ireland isn’t as good as good as England and there aren’t many scouts. Because of this I told Deri to come to England and try your event.”
Success with Accrington Stanley from our event is something the family is used to, with Deri’s Aunt explaining: “My son Vandis was scouted by Accrington Stanley from your trials in October 2016 and is still with the club.”
Asking how Deri is currently doing with the side, we were told: “Deri is on a six-week trial with Accrington Stanley, he has recently turned 16 so he is trying to sign as a scholar with the club.”
“He is currently training and playing matches for Accrington, he played last Tuesday against Burton and he scored on his debut!” She added.
