Semi-pro side Northwich Victoria scouted Ben Glendon from our Manchester trial back in December.

Ben first came to our trials in Manchester back in August 2018 but wasn’t at the required level and received no interest from scouts on the day.

Since, he has attended further UK Football Trial events and has been scouted by a number of clubs including AFC Darwen, Lancaster City, Stalybridge Celtic and also signing with Altrincham.

Unfortunately for Ben a lot of these opportunities didn’t pan out quite as well as he would have liked with scouts moving clubs and

Now, the 17-year-old right-winger has attracted attention from Cheshire based Northwich Victoria who have opted to sign the teenager!

Speaking with Ben, he told us: “After my trial the club told me they wanted to sign me! I was supposed to be involved in a match as the first team had quite a few injuries but unfortunately the game was called off. I’m excited to get going and play for the club!”

Ben also added: “I’m still with Altrincham’s under 18’s, I’m playing well and the club are doing really well in the league.”

We would like to wish Ben the best of luck with Northwich Victoria and hope he can break into the first team full time and continue to grow as a player.
