13 clubs scouted 11-year-old forward Muhammad Ali Sallem from our West London trial back in December.
Muhammad spent time playing with grassroots club Sandgate F.C. where he spent a few years developing as a player before attending our event.
Since trialling with us, Muhammad has gone on to trial with Fulham’s development centre and has continued to impress.
Talking with Muhammad’s coach, he explained: “Ali attended a Fulham development session where he shone as we believed he could."
"He was then asked to go to an academy event where they were even more so impressed and have offered him a 6-week trial with their academy!”
“This is excellent considering there are boys who have been there for some time that have not got that far which demonstrates Ali’s potential.” He added.
In regards to the other clubs that scouted Muhammad, his coach told us: “The other 12 clubs were either too far away (e.g., Birmingham, Portsmouth, West Ham etc.) or we’re not preferable for Ali.”
He continued: “I still haven’t heard anything from Tottenham and Arsenal are yet to attend any of his grassroots fixtures.”
“I have advised Ali to go with his gut instinct of which I can see him leaning towards Fulham, who have been nothing short of great in their communication and dealing with regards to Ali.”
UK Football Trials would like to congratulate Muhammad on both a brilliant trial with Fulham and us. We will continue to report on his progress as it comes in.
