Lenny Stimpson - Aged 13 - Centre Midfield - SIGNED For Portsmouth
League One side Portsmouth FC scouted Lenny Stimpson from our training and trial camp back in 2019 when the midfielder was 11.
Lenny, who plays as a central-midfielder and is now aged 13, was invited to train with the club shortly after leaving our camp and, after some very impressive sessions with the club, has now signed!
His mother Emily told us: “After the summer Lenny was offered an eight week trial where he trained three times a week also played in matches. He really impressed them and was offered a place full-time.”
We asked Emily how Lenny has found life with Pompey, she explained: “He was very nervous to begin with but he now seems really happy and gets on really well with the other boys.”
“It’s all he’s ever wanted, to be recognised and playing football. He is honestly over the moon.” She added.
We asked him if he had any advice for players like himself. He told us: “Never give up, no matter how many set backs you experience, keep trying your hardest.
