24-year-old striker Nick Dembele was scouted from our West London event by Hartley Wintney's first team after an impressive display up top. He also trialled with National League side Wealdstone after being put in contact through UK Football Trials.

Clearly a very talented player, we asked him why he chose to attend our event, he told us: "I believe everything comes with God's timing and being at the right place at the right time. I saw a few success stories on UK Football Trials and thought I was ready to take this next step to excel in my career."

Moving on to the training with Hartley Wintney, Nick gave us an insight into what happened, explaining: "It was a great experience; the coaches really pushed me and always gave me advise on how to improve to be the best player I can be."

He continued: "The scout was really impressed with my performance and said he would be in contact with the 1st team manager. The 1st team manager would like to see me play in a game, which I am awaiting details for."

When discussing his opportunity with Wealdstone, he told us: "I attended a trial match for Wealdstone which was really good, the feedback was very positive from the 1st team manager. He expressed that I was strong powerful, direct and took my goal well."

"However, he said that he won’t be able to offer anything at the moment as he has a forward coming from National League and based on players he has already in my position."

"He said he will be happy to recommend me to any step two and two though." He added.

As an older player who has gone in with Hartley Wintney's first team as well as Wealdstone and continued to perform, we asked Nick for advice for other players. He told us: "Go for it, don't doubt yourself!"
