17-year-old striker Samuel Yeo was scouted by three clubs; Aldershot, Hartley Wintney and Dorking Wanderers after attending our West London event back in April.

Sam moved to the UK from France and continued his football journey upon his arrival. We spoke with him to gain an insight into his previous clubs and why he chose to attend our event.

We first asked Sam about his football history, he explained: "I was born in France and started playing for Fc Asnieres when I was 12 years old. I played for them until I was 14 then I moved to ESC Collombienne where I played as a striker for one year."

"From here, I moved to Southampton in England and when I was 15 I started playing for Hamble. However, I wasn’t getting much game time so I looked to move to another club."

He continued: "After leaving Hamble, I trialled and signed for Havant and Waterlooville's academy as well as signing for Winchester U18. I am still currently playing with both teams."

With playing for two clubs, one being an academy, we were curious as to why Sam attended our trial, he told us: "I came to the trial because I knew that it was an opportunity to get scout by semi and professional clubs. I wanted to put my name out there."

After being scouted, Sam has trained with Aldershot's U18's and U23's where he described the experience as 'brilliant' and he has really enjoyed the training.
