9-year-old Beau Murphy trialled with Aldershot after being scouted from our West London event back in October.

We caught up with Beau's father Ryan to discuss his football history, why he chose to attend our event and what has happened since.

Firstly Ryan, could you please tell us a little about Beau's football history?

"He has played for Finchampstead FC since he was 4 years of age. During these years he has won several individual awards including Manager's Player, Supporters Player and Most Exciting Player." 

"For the previous 8 months Beau has also been with Football Icon Academy and recently played against Watford FC. Beau is also currently on trial with Wycombe Wanderers and Oxford United."

Fantastic! He seems to have a great love and talent for football, could you please explain why you chose to bring him along to our event?

"UK Football Trials were recommended to us by a close friend and therefore we thought it would be a great experience for Beau as well as giving him an opportunity to viewed by many scouts at one place." 

That obviously seemed to have paid off with him being scouted by Aldershot! Could you please tell us how the trial went?

"The trial with Aldershot Town FC took place over a 2 week period and Beau trained with the U10 Academy team. Training was fantastic and the level of coaching was of a very high standard."

And has there been any feedback or decisions made and if so what did Aldershot say? 

"Yes, Beau received great feedback from Aldershot Town FC and they have offered him a place with their U10 team!"

That is absolutely fantastic news! What advice would you give to other players who think they have the talent but need an opportunity to get scouted? 

"Get yourself booked into a trial ASAP and don't give up."
