Giuseppe Miuccio, 20, was scouted from our Birmingham trial by semi-pro side Cadbury Athletic. From being scouted, he has now signed with the club.

We spoke with Giuseppe regarding his football journey so far, why he attended our event and what life is like with Cadbury Athletic.

When first asked about his footballing background, Giuseppe told us: "I used to play in the fourth division at professional level where I played in amazing stadiums. Having never played in the UK, I thought I would give it a try and see what the level was like and try to prove myself in a new country."

Moving onto why he chose to attend one of our events, he said: "One of the main reasons why I came to the UK was to go to university. While I was studying, I was unsure how to find a team and play football regularly. Then I saw your trial advertised and thought I would try it out to find a new club."

"Everything about the your trial was brilliant, Robin Van Der Laan the coach was amazing and UK Football Trials really helped me."

This decision clearly worked out for Giuseppe, having being scouted and then signing for Cadbury Athletic. Giuseppe told us: "It's been great, everyone at the club is really friendly. It's still early and it's a new experience for me, but I'm excited and to be able to show my abilities to the team."

We asked Giuseppe for advice to players looking to sign for a pro or semi-pro club, he told us: "UK Football Trials is a vehicle that allows players to be scouted and succeed."
