Congratulations to JD aged 8 who secured a trail at Reading FC 

JD started to train with Football Paul from Pezzaz Street soccer academy at the age of 3 with older children. JD said “He is a fantastic coach. I'm still with them and love their skill sessions. Even Football Paul's covid zoom sessions were amazing and I attended all of them” 
 
At the age of 5 JD started Durrington FC, but only training with the year above. When JD turned 6, he played his first game for Durrington FC. Since then JD played a year up and was with the u10's. He also joined Andover football training Centre and played in the u7's team. Last season JD played in JPL with AFTC and played in the group a year older saying “It was an amazing experience.” 

When asked why he came to UK Football Trials JD said “I just thought to give it a try and see how it goes. I didn't even expect anything out of this as I was still an u8 player when I attended, so the youngest in the group.” 

Speaking about his time at UK Football Trials JD said “It was very well organised. The training was perfect I loved the experience.” 

When asked if the experience has changed his mindset JD said “Not really, I have an amazing coach who does similar sessions and he definitely pushes us to our limits.” 

JD’s advice to other players is to give it a go and join UK Football Trials. The opportunity is massive. Just play football like you do every day and be confident.
