Congratulations to Cairo who is aged 13 and on his trial for Blackpool FC

Cairo has been playing since the age of 7 for local grassroots teams, he was scouted by Burnley at age 11 and was on trial for a while there but was unsuccessful, they said they just wanted a bit more out of him. Cairo then stayed with grass roots in the championship division, got scouted by Blackpool FC at the UK football trials and was on trial for 12 weeks due to the season ending.  He then started again at U14 level, played matches with them against Manchester United Elite, Leicester City and other teams.

When we asked Cairos Mum why they decided to attend UK Football Trials she said “He decided to try the UK Football Trial event a few years ago to test himself in trial situations and see what opportunities were out there other than grassroots, really enjoyed the event and has been to 2 more since then and has enjoyed it every time.”

Speaking on Cairo’s time at Blackpool his Mum added “The trial/training was definitely levels above and more professional. More opportunities to play at stadiums and get a higher level of coaching and he enjoyed that.”

Cairos mum also said “Would definitely recommend players to get out there and give UK Football Trials a try, it's a great way to be seen and also gives you an opportunity to meet other players and see the different levels of skills and abilities they have.
