Congratulations to Levi Wain!

Levi, 13, was scouted from our Midlands event in May 2023. 

His playing background was very much at the grassroots level where he played for Walsall Phoenix on a Saturday MJPL and Sunday Walsall Junior Football League.  

When we asked Levi why he thought he wasn’t getting the right opportunities, Levi said “ I didn’t feel like many scouts attended my games”

His efforts at our May 2023 trial day in the Midlands, paid off for him as he was scouted and initially offered a 10 week trial period with Walsall. 

During his trial with Walsall, Levi told us that he enjoyed the training and getting to know the team and coaches.  He was asked to play in games before getting signed helping to build his confidence.

Levi offered up some words of advice for all players who attend our events “ I’d say to other players don’t give up work hard and attend a trial, as I wouldn’t be where I was today if I didn’t attend as I was given the opportunity to show my ability in front of many scouts that may not have seen me in my normal grassroots games”

Levi has gone and has been offered a 2 year contract at Walsall.
