14-year-old Muhammad attended our recent April 2024 trials in Sheffield and was scouted by Premier League club Aston Villa and Hull City from the EFL club Hull City.

Born in Gambia in West Africa Muhammad is already 6’2” and plays as a central midfielder. After playing football in his home country since the age of 6 Muhammad moved to the UK in April 2023 where his father registered him to play for local grassroots club Crosby United in Scunthorpe. Muhammad has enjoyed a year so far playing the English football system and this has now paid off with a successful trial at UK Football Trials and an opportunity of an 8-week trial with Hull City. Muhammad and his family were really pleased when they received their decision email, and they were informed of the interested clubs.

Muhammad was asked how his club trial is going so far and to talk us through it. He mentioned that he is doing just fine at the moment, and he is focusing on his 8-week trial and impressing the club coaches. He went on to say that the club coaches are brilliant, and he really enjoys the style of play at the academy. Muhammad commented that the other players in the academy are of a very good level, and he is also enjoying playing in and around very good players. Muhammad finishes his trial period with Hull City on the 26^{th of} May 2024 and he is setting his sights on something permanent with the club.

As always, we asked Muhammad how it came about that he attended a trial with UK Football Trials and would he recommend us to anyone else. He had this to say….”I saw an advert on Facebook and asked my dad to book me in for a trial. I would definitely recommend UK Football Trials and regularly send messages to my friends about it.”
