14-year-old Eli Kamesa started playing football at the tender age of just 6 years old in his home country of South Africa. At 11 years old and after speaking with UK Football Trials’ sister company UK Football Schools, Eli and his family made the brave decision to enrol Eli into an elite football academy school in the UK. Over the next few years Eli has quietly continued to improve by listening to his coaches and taking onboard their advice and implementing this into his game.

Eli has attended a couple of 1-day trials and gained some interest from club scouts, but it was at our 5-day football camp in April 2024 where Eli has finally earned his rewards from all his hard work and dedication over the past few years. Working hard throughout the week of the camp and bringing all his excellent attributes and learning experience Eli was scouted by 3 clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Woking F.C!

As you can imagine Eli and his family were very happy with the result. Eli has been contacted by all 3 clubs for further information and is now awaiting trials when the new season commences.

We interviewed Eli and asked him a couple of questions, and these were his responses….

UKFT – “What made you decide to enrol at a UK Football Trials 5-day camp and what do you feel you learned from your 5-day camp trial experience?” Eli – “It is UK Football Trials success rate and professionalism that made me sign up. And I learnt that if you work hard, things can go your way.”

UKFT – “Would you recommend UK Football Trials to other players and why?” Eli – “Yes. They will get you to the top.”

For now, whilst Eli awaits his trial experiences with the clubs, he was scouted by we would like to wish Eli all the very best as we continue to monitor his football journey. What an exciting time it is for Eli!
