14-year-old left back Eliyas Savari only started playing football just 1 year ago at grassroots level. After attending one of our 1-day trials in February 2024 Eliyas caught the eye of scouts at Bradford City and Sheffield United. It was from this trial that Bradford City acted first and offered Eliyas an 8-week trial with their academy which Eliyas and his family were very happy about receiving such an attractive opportunity.

Eliyas is coming to the end of his 8-week trial and is very hopeful of being offered a full-time academy place at the club. Eliyas said about his experience within his trial that he has learnt to become a better teammate and the level of player already within the academy is helping him thrive to get to that same level and challenging him to bring out the best of his skill set he possesses.

When asked why Eliyas attended a UK Football Trials event he said that he wanted to “Exceed with his football and thrive within his passion for football.”

Eliyas then went onto mention that he would definitely recommend UK Football Trials to other aspiring players because he felt it helped him with his game and there was lots of coaching advice.

Finally, we asked Eliyas what was next for him on his football journey, and he said that he is continuing to train with Bradford City and is hoping to be fully signed at the conclusion of his trial.
