Kian first attended a one-day UK Football Trials event, where he was scouted by non-league club Fisher Athletic. After a successful trial, Kian was offered a first-team place with the club for the 2024/25 season – a fantastic achievement for a player of his age.

Following this, Kian attended a five-day UK Football Trials camp, where he impressed a scout from Colchester United. This led to an invitation for a week-long trial at Colchester United’s academy. During this trial, Kian participated in a variety of sessions, including strength and conditioning, goalkeeper-specific training, and team tactical sessions. The highlight came on the final day when he was asked to play the full 90 minutes in a league match against Hull City, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Since attending UK Football Trials, Kian’s progress has continued. He has been scouted and trialled with several clubs, including Oxford United, Colchester United, Fisher FC, and Sevenoaks Town. Most recently, he attended a week-long trial with Nottingham Forest, where he received excellent feedback from the academy goalkeeper coaches.

Reflecting on his experiences, Kian said he has gained a "much better understanding of the requirements for professional football academies" and what is expected from players. He is confident that, through the feedback he has received, he has the ability and commitment to reach his goal of becoming a professional goalkeeper.

Darren Mace, a scout from Sevenoaks Town who has been following Kian’s development, praised his progress: “Kian has had trials with Oxford United, Colchester United, and Nottingham Forest. The feedback from the academy goalkeeper coaches has been excellent. Kian is currently signed for Fisher FC’s first team and is on loan to Ongar Town, playing in the Senior Division of the Essex Alliance League.”

Looking ahead, Kian is continuing his football journey with the ambition of reaching professional level. He is currently playing first-team football at Fisher FC, and on loan at Ongar Town, and has recently signed with Sevenoaks Town FC.

When asked if he would recommend UK Football Trials to others, Kian said: “Yes, definitely. I’ve been scouted a number of times at the trials, and the feedback from scouts and clubs has been really positive. I know I’m heading in the right direction to be signed at a professional level.”
