Dominic’s love for football and ambition to reach the highest levels led him to attend a UK Football Trials event. His talent did not go unnoticed, and after his performance, Dominic received the exciting news that he had been scouted. “I was so excited, I jumped on my dad’s neck!” Dominic recalled, describing the moment he learned that his hard work was paying off. 

The scouting process was seamless for Dominic, and he was quickly contacted by the club scouts. “The scout contacted the club, and it was so easy. They came to watch my game for two weeks,” he explained. His consistent performances on the pitch during those weeks left a lasting impression, and Dominic was thrilled to be scouted twice—first by Blackburn Rovers and then by Morecambe FC. 

Reflecting on what he learned from his football trials, Dominic shared some valuable insights. “I learned a lot. The first thing I learned is to never get discouraged if there are a huge number of people at the trial. You will always have your chance to be seen,” he said. Despite the large number of participants at the trials, Dominic stood out because of his hard work, determination, and belief in himself. 

The level of competition at the trials was higher than Dominic had anticipated, but he embraced the challenge and used it as an opportunity to improve. “I was expecting mixed player levels, but the level was high, and I had to upgrade myself,” Dominic said, acknowledging that the trials pushed him to raise his game and develop his skills further. 

Dominic’s decision to attend UK Football Trials was driven by his belief in his abilities and his desire to expose himself to a wider football audience. “I believe I will be the next Ronaldinho, so I decided to apply to be exposed to the world of football,” Dominic said with confidence. His ambition and passion for the game are evident, and he has already made a strong impression on scouts and coaches alike. 

When asked if he would recommend UK Football Trials to other aspiring players, Dominic’s answer was clear. “Yes, I will greatly recommend it, just because it is a real opportunity for any player aspiring to play professional football,” he said. The trials gave him the platform he needed to showcase his talent and take the next step in his football journey.
