After attending a UK Football Trials event, Fritz was scouted and given the chance to showcase his talent to various clubs. However, his grassroots match where he was being observed was cut short due to severe weather, forcing the game to be called off at halftime. Despite this setback, Fritz remained determined. “I was invited afterwards to train with the football club,” he shared, reflecting on how the opportunity still arose despite the unexpected conditions. 

Through the trials and training sessions, Fritz has learned valuable lessons. “I learned a lot about teamwork and how to read the game better,” he explained, emphasising the importance of working with his teammates and understanding the flow of the match. The level of players at the trial was exactly what he expected—skilled, competitive, and pushing him to be better. 

Fritz attended UK Football Trials to test himself against the best players in the country. “I wanted to challenge myself and see where I stood against other talented players,” he said. His experience at UK Football Trials has been overwhelmingly positive, and he would highly recommend it to other young players. “Their set-up is second to none,” he remarked, praising the quality of coaching and feedback provided. 

Since being scouted, Fritz has been offered the opportunity to train at Shrewsbury’s Development Centre, and he is excited to see where this opportunity will take him. “I’m looking forward to learning and growing as a player,” he said with optimism. As Fritz continues his development, the future looks incredibly bright for this young talent.
