When Benjamin attended UK Football Trials, his talent immediately caught the attention of scouts. “We were obviously pleased,” Benjamin’s family shared. “We started preparing for the start of the trials, knowing that we had to work hard.” They had previously attended other trials and knew that preparation was key. 

Once at the club trial, Benjamin encountered players of excellent quality, but his belief in his own ability helped him stand out. “I met good quality players, but I always believed in my own ability,” Benjamin said confidently. His hard work and determination paid off, and by the second week of trials at Bradford City, he was offered a contract—a significant achievement for a young player. 

Reflecting on his trial experience, Benjamin shared that he learned a lot about playing under pressure and developing his tactical understanding of the game. “I learned about high pressing, finishing, and playing under pressure,” he explained. The level of players at the trial was high, but Benjamin didn’t let that intimidate him. “Everyone is good in at least one aspect of the game, so it’s important to believe in yourself.” 

The decision to attend UK Football Trials was an easy one for Benjamin and his family. After moving house, they knew that the trials would be an excellent opportunity to get in front of scouts. “We moved houses, and we know UK Football Trials offers great opportunities,” Benjamin’s family shared. 

When asked if he would recommend UK Football Trials to other players, Benjamin’s response was enthusiastic. “Sure, a lot of scouts are always present. They can always see something in any player,” he said. His experience showed that no matter the outcome, UK Football Trials provides invaluable exposure and feedback. 

Since his trial, Benjamin has continued working on the feedback he received, and has now signed for Bradford City. He is determined to keep improving and developing as a player. His story is one of perseverance, belief in oneself, and the willingness to learn and grow from every opportunity.
