Anderson’s football career began at an early age when he joined Southern Soccer Academy. He quickly moved up the ranks, joining the US Youth Soccer ODP, where he was invited to the Region ID camp and selected to represent the South Region team. This experience honed his skills and instilled in him the discipline necessary to compete at the highest levels. Soon after, Anderson was accepted into the Atlanta United Academy, an elite football program known for developing top-tier talent in the U.S. 

Despite already training with one of the most competitive academies in the U.S., Anderson sought to expand his football education by attending UK Football Trials. His aim was to gain international exposure, experience the British football style, and learn more about the European scouting system. “It was an opportunity to see how players from different parts of the world train and play. I wanted to learn more about the pathways available for players like me,” Anderson explained. UK Football Trials delivered just that—an environment where he could test himself against top talent from all over the world. 

The trials themselves were a fantastic learning experience for Anderson. “The level of competition was intense and challenging. It pushed me to perform at my best,” he shared. He found himself playing with and against players of different nationalities, all bringing unique styles and tactics to the game. This experience allowed Anderson to gain a broader perspective on football and further sharpen his goalkeeping skills. 

Anderson’s performance at the trial didn’t go unnoticed. Scouts from both Oxford United and Colchester United reached out to him, expressing interest in his future development. “We received an email shortly after the trial that I had been scouted by Oxford United and Colchester United,” Anderson said. Oxford United even extended an invitation for him to train with their academy whenever he visits the UK. Although Anderson resides in the U.S., these connections have paved the way for future opportunities abroad. 

Attending UK Football Trials wasn’t just about improving his game—it was also a way to learn more about the scouting and recruiting process in Europe. Anderson came away from the experience with valuable insights into how players are evaluated and what clubs are looking for. “It was great to learn about the scouting process and how clubs assess young talent,” Anderson reflected. This knowledge has further motivated him to continue working hard at Atlanta United Academy while keeping an eye on future opportunities in the UK. 

Looking ahead, Anderson remains excited about the prospect of training with Oxford United. “They said I can come train with them whenever I’m in the UK, and that’s something I’m really looking forward to,” he said. The scouts encouraged him to continue working hard, promising that there would be more opportunities down the line. For Anderson, this is just the beginning of a promising football journey.
