Hana’s recent participation in UK Football Trials marked an exciting chapter in her career. Reflecting on the experience, she shared, “When I heard I’d been scouted, I was over the moon. The next day, I received an email from a scout interested in a club in Birmingham and one in Manchester. It felt amazing to know my efforts had caught someone’s attention.” 

At the club trial, Hana had the chance to experience the structure and expectations of a high-level training session. “We started with dynamic and static stretches to warm up,” she explained. “Then, we moved onto drills focusing on passing, receiving on the back foot, possession-based games, 1v1s, and touch-and-shoot exercises. We ended the session with games played in 15-minute intervals. It was intense but incredibly rewarding.” 

The trial taught Hana valuable lessons about teamwork, awareness, and perseverance. “I learned how crucial communication is, not just with teammates but also with coaches,” she said. “Being aware of your surroundings is so important at this level. I also realised how much hard work and resilience matter—they don’t go unnoticed.” 

The level of competition was just what Hana had expected. “The players were all really good,” she noted. “The group was competitive, which pushed me to give my best. It was great to be part of such a talented team for the day.” 

Hana’s decision to attend UK Football Trials stemmed from her desire to showcase her abilities and open doors to new opportunities. “I wanted a platform where I could demonstrate my skills to scouts and coaches,” she explained. “UK Football Trials offered exactly that. It was such a good experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone.” 

Hana values the unique format of the trials, which she believes are designed to highlight players’ strengths. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to grow as a player,” she said. “The feedback I received from a scout was really encouraging. They told me they could see my talent and felt I should be playing at a good level in the women’s league.” 

With her sights set on the future, Hana is ready to take the next steps in her career. Her story is an inspiring reminder of the importance of dedication, resilience, and seizing every opportunity.
