Danzar Strzelec - 18 Year Old Scouted by 6 Club and Signed for Peimari United
Danzar Strzelec’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and an unrelenting passion for football. At just 18 years old, he has already faced challenges that could have ended his career before it began. But through sheer willpower and love for the game, Danzar is proving that dreams can still come true with hard work and the right opportunities.

Danzar , a goalkeeper, has been scouted by some of the biggest names in football, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Portsmouth, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and Peimari United in Finland. However, his road to success was anything but smooth.

At the age of 15, Danzar was told he had bone cancer and was given devastating news: doctors believed he might not live to see another day, and football seemed out of the question. “This mentally destroyed me,” he recalls. But Danzar's determination to fight back was fuelled by the love and support of his mum. “There was no way of giving up,” he says. Thankfully, it turned out not to be cancer but an extra bone on his hip and a detached tendon, which required two surgeries to repair. After months of recovery, Danzar was back to doing what he loved most—playing football.

Football has been part of Danzar's life since primary school, and his passion for the game only grew stronger after overcoming his health challenges. When he attended UK Football Trials 5-Day Camp, he found the perfect platform to showcase his talent. His performance caught the attention of Fred Ham from Chelsea, who invited him to a trial showcase game at the age of 15. Though he didn’t make it through at the time, Danzar's never gave up on his dream of playing for the club.

Currently, Danzar is on pre-season with Peimari United, a Finnish team, undergoing a three-week probation period with hopes of signing for the club. “The president of my current club is very happy with me, and I’m just waiting to sign,” he shares with excitement.

Reflecting on his UK Football Trials Camp experience, Danzar describes it as life-changing. “I learned that football isn’t just a job; it’s a hobby and a passion. Your dream is possible if you put the work in and surround yourself with wonderful people,” he says. For Danzar, the best moment from the trial wasn’t just about football—it was about meeting friends he still keeps in touch with and regaining the confidence he thought he’d lost.

Danzar's decision to attend UK Football Trials Camp came after being released from his hometown club, Inverness Caledonian Thistle. “They told me I wasn’t good enough,” he recalls. But instead of giving up, he spoke with his mum and decided to prove them wrong. “It ended up being the best decision of my life,” he says.

Danzar wholeheartedly recommends UK Football Trials to others. “You get seen by many scouts, stay motivated, and learn plenty,” he explains. His journey is proof that with hard work and determination, even the most difficult challenges can be overcome.
