Daniil’s journey began at the age of six when he first started playing football in his home country of Ukraine. Representing the Odesa youth team, he honed his skills and developed a passion for the game that would shape his ambitions. After moving to England, Daniil joined the Exeter Regional Talent Centre and later played for the Calm Valley youth team. Today, he proudly represents Calm Samforth Under 18s, continuing to sharpen his abilities and make his mark on the pitch. 

When Daniil attended UK Football Trials, he was determined to show scouts his potential. “My friends told me I was good and could play at a high level,” he shared. Taking their encouragement to heart, he decided to take the leap and attend the trial. 

The experience proved to be invaluable for Daniil. Not only did he impress the scouts with his talent, but he also learned new drills to improve his technique and shooting. Reflecting on the day, he said, “The first drill, passing and ball control, was the best and most interesting drill for me.” 

His hard work paid off when he was scouted by both Weston-Super-Mare and Cardiff Met. “I was really happy to get scouted for these clubs,” Daniil said, adding that the opportunity to join them excites him. 

Daniil has already scheduled his trial with Weston-Super-Mare, set for 23rd December, and he’s eagerly awaiting further details from Cardiff Met. “I’ve agreed with Weston-Super-Mare on when and where my trial will take place,” he explained. Meanwhile, he is preparing himself physically and mentally for the upcoming challenges. 

The experience with UK Football Trials has not only opened doors for Daniil but also taught him valuable lessons. “I found new drills for technique and shooting,” he said, highlighting the practical benefits of attending the trial. More importantly, the event gave him the platform to showcase his abilities to professional scouts. 

When asked if he would recommend UK Football Trials to other young players, Daniil didn’t hesitate. “Keep doing what you are doing,” he said. “It is very important for young people who aspire to become footballers in the future.” 

With his trial date set and the support of both clubs and his current team, Daniil is looking forward to what lies ahead. His journey serves as a reminder of the power of hard work, resilience, and seizing opportunities. As he prepares for his trial with Weston-Super-Mare and awaits news from Cardiff Met, Daniil Tesliuk is a young player to watch, poised to make an impact on the professional football stage.
