Jude’s footballing journey began in Sunday league, playing regularly until he was scouted by Lincoln City at Under-14 level. His time with Lincoln City allowed him to experience academy football for the first time, pushing him to refine his skills and adapt to a higher level of competition. Though his spell with Lincoln was brief, it provided a valuable learning experience that shaped his development. 

This season, Jude has been playing for his school team at Brooke House College, a well-regarded footballing institution known for producing talented players. Competing at a high level with his school has helped him maintain his sharpness and continue improving his game while awaiting further opportunities. 

His big moment came when he attended UK Football Trials. It was there that a West Brom scout noticed him and was impressed with his performance. “One thing I’ve learned from UK Football Trials is that scouts watch everything you do. They even watch your warm-up and your reaction when you lose the ball,” Jude explained. “You just have to be consistent in the things you can control on the pitch if you want to be spotted.” 

After the trial, Jude received direct feedback from the West Brom scout, who complimented his performance. It was a defining moment for him, a sign that his hard work and effort had paid off. Shortly after, the club contacted his parents to discuss the next steps, and now he is awaiting a trial date to officially showcase his abilities. 

For Jude, the decision to attend UK Football Trials was all about exposure. “I came to UK Football Trials so clubs could at least see me play. It’s a great way to get on their radar and go on trial,” he said. The structured environment, the opportunity to play in front of multiple scouts, and the professionalism of the event made it an ideal platform for him to get noticed. 

Would he recommend UK Football Trials to others? Absolutely. “It’s a very simple concept – you get to meet people from different countries, and it’s a great experience in general.” The opportunity to play alongside talented players from different backgrounds not only improves your game but also expands your footballing network. 

Now, Jude is eagerly awaiting his trial with West Brom, excited about the opportunity ahead. With his talent, mindset, and dedication, he’s ready to make the most of it when his moment arrives.
