At just 18 years old, Henrique Pereira Guerrero has already made significant strides in his footballing journey. His career began in Sunday league football before progressing to Hanwell Town U16s. From there, he moved up to the U18 level and is now playing at Step 8 while also developing his game at the QPR College Academy. His performances caught the attention of Stansfeld Town, who wasted no time in reaching out. “I was very happy to have the opportunity to be scouted,” he said. “They emailed me straight away asking for more details about my background.” 

Unlike traditional trials where players attend training sessions or play showcase matches immediately, Stansfeld Town has taken a different approach. The club is now monitoring Henrique’s progress and will be watching him in upcoming games. This means every match he plays is a chance to impress and take the next step in his football journey. 

Henrique took a lot away from his experience at UK Football Trials. He learned the importance of consistency and playing at a high tempo, skills that will be crucial as he aims to prove himself at a competitive level. One of the highlights of his trial was having the freedom to express himself in a match environment. “Being able to play my game and show what I can do was the best part,” he said. 

His decision to attend UK Football Trials was a calculated one. He knew that the event would provide him with a real opportunity to be seen by scouts and clubs looking for emerging talent. “I wanted to be seen, and I knew UK Football Trials was the best place to come,” he explained. 

Henrique highly recommends the experience to other aspiring footballers. “It allows you to be seen by clubs and get valuable advice,” he said.
