A confident left-back with excellent defensive positioning, Hayden plays his grassroots football for Clifton All Whites in Nottingham. Known for his composure under pressure and his ability to drive forward from defence, he’s been steadily improving and refining his game. But it was at UK Football Trials where everything changed. 

“We came to UK Football Trials to give Hayden the opportunity to showcase his talent and be seen by professional scouts,” his family shared. “We never imagined he’d be scouted by nine different clubs — it was incredible.” 

Following the event, the phone didn’t stop ringing. Scouts got in touch via calls and emails, all expressing keen interest in the talented young fullback. After careful consideration, Hayden accepted an invitation to trial with Aston Villa, a club renowned for developing young players. 

“The club has been very supportive,” said Hayden’s parents. “They’ve already given him positive feedback and encouraged him to keep showing what he can do.” 

His trial with Aston Villa began on Tuesday 29th April, and the excitement in the family is clear. For Hayden, it’s more than just a trial — it’s a dream in motion. Being welcomed into such an environment is a sign of both his talent and the level he’s already operating at. 

“He’s excited to train with Villa and determined to give it everything,” his parents said. “This is a big moment for him.” 

The UK Football Trials experience was not only a turning point in terms of opportunity but also in confidence. According to his parents, it was a day that helped Hayden believe in himself on a different level. 

“The trial helped Hayden build confidence in his abilities. He was asked to play with the older boys during the match, and he held his own — that really gave him a boost.” 

The best moment? When the scouts began taking notice mid-match — visibly impressed with his defensive intelligence, work ethic, and ability to read the game. One by one, they added his name to their list. 

“That’s when it really hit — this could lead to something,” said his dad. “He played with calmness and maturity beyond his years.”
