At just 17 years old, Eyad Abdelaziz is already pursuing his second chapter in football — this time in the UK. A former professional in Egypt, Eyad arrived at UK Football Trials with one clear goal: to rekindle his pro career on English soil. That ambition took a step forward when he was scouted by Daisy Hill, a club that recognised his potential and has already made contact to invite him into their set-up. 

“I was playing professionally in Egypt,” Eyad explained. “Now I’m here in the UK seeking my professional career again.” 

Eyad’s pathway to being spotted came through UK Football Trials, where he stood out as a powerful and driven striker. His performance didn’t go unnoticed, and shortly after the event, Daisy Hill reached out via email, asking for further details and expressing their interest in inviting him to both train and then trial with the club. 

“I’ve just received an email from the club asking about me,” Eyad said. “They’ve said they want to invite me to train and then do a trial. I’m now waiting for their guidance on the next steps.” 

The experience of being scouted in the UK is a key milestone in Eyad’s journey — and he credits the structure and professionalism of the trial day for helping him gain that vital exposure. 

“The exposure was amazing,” he said. “The coaches were great, and everything was well arranged. It gave me a proper insight into how the football environment works here.” 

For Eyad, one of the most motivating moments of the trial came during the matches when he realised the number of scouts present and the real opportunity at stake. 

“The best moment for me was knowing there were so many scouts watching,” he said. “It made everything feel real and gave me extra motivation.” 

Eyad first heard about UK Football Trials through his dad, who had read strong reviews and encouraged him to give it a go. The decision turned out to be a turning point. 

“My dad found out about UK Football Trials and read good reviews,” Eyad shared. “That’s why I came — and now I’m thinking of coming again.” 

He would definitely recommend the experience to other players, especially those trying to break into the UK football scene, whether from abroad or locally. 

“Yes, I would absolutely recommend it. It gives you exposure, a proper training environment, and a real chance. I’m already planning to come again.” 

For now, Eyad is waiting to hear the next steps from Daisy Hill but remains positive, focused, and eager to move forward — with the added bonus of knowing that UK Football Trials are there to support him through the process. 

“I’m waiting to hear back, and I’d appreciate any help from your side,” Eyad said. “This is a big opportunity for me.”
