Joel’s football journey began with Hall Road Rangers, where he has been playing for more than five years. During this time, he has faced countless opponents, tested himself against different styles of play, and developed into one of the standout performers in his team. “I am one, if not the leading top player of our team and have scored many goals till now,” Joel explained proudly. His contributions in both goals and creativity quickly marked him out as a player to watch. 

For Joel, football has always been about more than just scoring. He has dedicated himself to learning the game, improving his skills, and sharing knowledge with his teammates. “I have gained lots of footballing skills and shared some with others,” he said. That willingness to both learn and contribute has been a key part of his growth as a player. 

The turning point came when he attended UK Football Trials, a platform designed to give players the opportunity to be seen by professional scouts. For Joel, it was the chance he had been waiting for. “I wanted to show my skills and try my chance as I wish to become a professional footballer,” he said. 

The trial experience itself was a major learning opportunity. Playing alongside and against players from all different teams and footballing backgrounds gave Joel valuable perspective. “I learned a lot, playing with different players from different teams with different football backgrounds, and I really appreciated the coaches and their ability to identify the potential of players,” he reflected. 

The highlight of the day came when scouts approached him directly. “When I was approached by coaches to let me know they were interested in me — this was amazing!” Joel recalled. It was the validation of all his years of hard work, dedication, and passion for the game. 

That moment led to the next big step in his journey: an invitation to join Hull City’s Development Centre. Joel is now training in a professional environment, surrounded by coaches who understand his potential and are committed to helping him develop further. “Yes, I received compliments from my coaches. I hope this will be a changing step for my football dreams,” he said. 

Looking back, Joel sees UK Football Trials as a vital part of his journey. He is quick to recommend it to other aspiring players. “Yes, 100 percent,” he said when asked if he would suggest it to others. The opportunity to showcase his ability in front of professional scouts has given him exactly what he wanted: a pathway to the next level. 

Joel’s story is just beginning, but already it serves as inspiration for other young players who may feel overlooked at grassroots level. His rise from Hall Road Rangers to Hull City Development Centre shows what can happen when talent, hard work, and opportunity come together. 

At 11 years old, Joel is chasing his dream with determination — and with Hull City now guiding his development, the future looks very bright indeed.
