George – 13 Years Old – Winger | Scouted by Oxford United, Norwich & Stevenage
At 13 years old, George is beginning to see real momentum in his football journey, with multiple professional clubs recognising his potential after strong performances at UK Football Trials.
George has been playing grassroots football for the past five seasons, building his game through consistent match experience and development. As a winger capable of playing on both the right and left, he brings energy, directness, and a willingness to take players on — qualities that stood out during his time at trials.
He attended a UK Football Trials event at Flamingo Park on 1st April 2026, where he had the opportunity to perform in front of professional scouts in a structured, competitive environment.
His performances did not go unnoticed.
“We were contacted by all three clubs asking for George’s details,” his father explained, referring to interest from Oxford United, Norwich City, and Stevenage.
While Stevenage confirmed they would look to bring George in for a trial, the process is still ongoing, highlighting how different clubs move at different speeds when assessing young players.
One of the standout moments from the trial came when George was asked to step up and compete at a higher level.
“Being asked to stay back and play with the older groups,” his father said — a clear sign that coaches recognised his ability and wanted to see how he performed against stronger competition.
The experience also helped George understand what it takes to stand out.
He learned how to showcase his abilities effectively, not just through moments on the ball, but through movement, decision-making, and overall presence in the game.
George attended UK Football Trials with a clear objective:
“To showcase my skills in the correct environment.”
That objective has been achieved, with multiple clubs now aware of his ability and tracking his progress.
Since then, George’s journey has continued to move forward.
He has recently begun an eight-week academy trial with West Ham United, after being scouted during one of his Sunday league matches — another strong indicator that his performances are consistently catching attention across different environments.
When asked about UK Football Trials, the feedback was clear:
“Yes — it’s great for development and learning how to showcase yourself.”
From grassroots football…
to being scouted by multiple professional clubs…
to now stepping into an academy trial with West Ham United —
George’s journey is a great example of how consistent performances, combined with the right exposure, can open multiple pathways.
At just 13, with several clubs already showing interest, he is firmly on the right track — and his development is one to watch closely.
