Kobe – 13 Years Old – Winger | Scouted by Ipswich Town, Norwich City, Oxford United, Bromley & King’s Lynn Town 

At just 13 years old, Kobe is making strong progress in his football journey, earning interest from multiple clubs after impressing at UK Football Trials. 

Kobe began his development in grassroots football with Thetford Bulldogs, before stepping up into a more competitive environment with Soham EJA. His pace, direct attacking style, and ability to play on both wings quickly became key strengths in his game. 

Looking to take the next step and gain exposure to academy scouts, Kobe attended a UK Football Trials event at Lakeside — an experience that proved to be a major turning point. 

His performances during the sessions and matches caught the attention of several clubs, leading to interest from Ipswich Town, Norwich City, Oxford United, Bromley, and King’s Lynn Town. 

Since then, his journey has moved quickly. 

Kobe is currently on trial with Ipswich Town, where he is continuing to showcase his ability in a professional academy environment. He also has an upcoming trial with Bromley, while Oxford United and Norwich City have made contact, highlighting the level of interest in his performances. 

Reflecting on his experience so far, Kobe has gained valuable insight into what it takes to compete at a higher level. 

“After attending a few trials, I’ve learned to be consistently confident around other good players and understand what level I am at, so I know what I need to improve.” 

That self-awareness is crucial at this stage of development, helping him focus on the areas needed to progress further. 

For Kobe, one of the biggest highlights has been the overall experience of the trial environment. 

“The whole experience is great — being able to play in front of scouts and receive great coaching is something else.” 

That opportunity to perform under pressure is exactly what he was looking for. 

“I came to UK Football Trials to be seen by scouts and show them what I can do.” 

And that goal has clearly been achieved, with multiple clubs now offering opportunities. 

When asked if he would recommend UK Football Trials, his response was clear: 

“I would definitely recommend it. The environment is great, the coaches are great, and playing against other good players makes it really enjoyable.” 

With trials currently ongoing and several clubs monitoring his progress, Kobe is in a strong position as he continues his development. 

From grassroots football… 
to being scouted by multiple clubs… 
to now actively trialling within academy environments — 

his journey is moving in the right direction. 

At just 13, with continued confidence and focus, Kobe is giving himself every chance to take the next step in his football career.
