Vasily – 15 Years Old – Central Midfielder | Scouted by Bromley FC 

At 15 years old, Vasily is already showing the confidence and technical quality needed to compete at a high level, earning recognition from Bromley FC after impressing at UK Football Trials. 

A dynamic box-to-box midfielder, Vasily describes his game as creative and fearless. 

“I like playmaking, creating chances, and taking risks,” he explained — qualities that were clearly visible during his performances at the trial. 

Vasily attended a UK Football Trials one-day event, looking to test himself against strong opposition and gain exposure in front of professional scouts. The opportunity came through a connection with a former coach who had worked with UK Football Trials and recognised the value of the platform. 

During the sessions and match play, Vasily stood out with his composure, passing ability, and willingness to influence the game. His performances caught the attention of a Bromley FC scout, who approached him directly after the event. 

“The best moment was when the scout from Bromley FC came to talk to me,” Vasily said. 

Following the trial, Bromley contacted him and invited him to attend a Talent ID event, while also requesting further information regarding his location and availability. 

Unfortunately, due to living in Europe and being outside the club’s catchment area, Vasily was unable to attend the session. 

“They said they couldn’t invite me because I’m out of their catchment area,” he explained. 

While disappointing, the experience still provided an important boost to his confidence and belief. 

“I learned that I have quality and am above others in the UK.” 

That level of self-belief is important for any midfielder who wants to stand out and play with authority in competitive environments. 

Vasily attended UK Football Trials for one clear reason: 

“To have a chance of being scouted.” 

That objective was achieved, with a professional club recognising his ability and attempting to progress him further despite the logistical limitations.
