Stefano – 12 Years Old – Left Winger | Scouted by West Ham United 

At just 12 years old, Stefano is already beginning to make his mark, earning a trial opportunity with West Ham United after impressing at UK Football Trials. 

Stefano attended the East London / Essex Outfield Trial, where he showcased his ability as a direct and confident left winger in front of professional scouts. 

His football journey began at the age of five, and since then he has continued to develop through grassroots football with Gladstone Park Rangers. Alongside his club football, Stefano has built a strong habit of working independently on his game. 

“I would train every day on my weaknesses so I could get better,” he explained. 

That dedication was clear during the trial, where his performances stood out across the different sessions and match scenarios. 

“The whole trial was good because I played well in every scenario.” 

Following the event, Stefano received exciting news — West Ham United had identified him and requested further information ahead of the next stage. 

“They sent us an information email that we had to fill out, then informed us that the trials will take place on July 24th,” his father explained. 

Stefano is now awaiting the opportunity to attend the upcoming trial, giving him the chance to further showcase his ability within a professional academy environment. 

The experience at UK Football Trials also reinforced an important lesson for him. 

“That only the best get chosen and you have to train a lot to be the best.” 

That mindset — understanding the importance of hard work and continuous improvement — is vital for young players hoping to progress in football. 

Stefano chose to attend UK Football Trials after seeing how many players had earned opportunities through the platform. 

“I have seen many children get scouted and I also wanted to be part of the academy association.” 

Now, he has achieved exactly that, with a Premier League club offering him the chance to take the next step. 

When asked if he would recommend UK Football Trials, the answer was clear:
