Tobi Solomon Yinusa – 21 Years Old – Right Midfielder/Right Back | Invited to Trial with Haringey Borough FC 

At 21 years old, Tobi Solomon Yinusa is continuing to pursue his football ambitions with determination and belief, earning an opportunity with Haringey Borough FC after attending UK Football Trials’ five-day camp in West Sussex. 

Originally from Nigeria, Tobi developed his game through grassroots football and academy setups in his home country, gaining valuable experience across multiple teams while refining his technical ability and understanding of the game. 

“I played grassroots football in Nigeria and played for many academy clubs,” he explained. 

Looking to take the next step in England and gain exposure in front of scouts, Tobi attended the UK Football Trials five-day residential camp in West Sussex — an experience that provided both high-level football and important personal growth. 

For Tobi, the week offered far more than just matches and training sessions. 

“I gained more experience and exposure to believe that anything is possible.” 

That belief was strengthened further when he received positive interest following the camp. 

“They sent me an invite,” he said, confirming that Haringey Borough FC had reached out after watching his performances. 

Tobi is now awaiting a trial with the club within the next four weeks, giving him an exciting opportunity to showcase himself within a senior football environment. 

As a player capable of operating at both right midfield and right back, his versatility and work ethic helped him stand out throughout the week. 

Reflecting on the experience, Tobi highlighted how much he enjoyed every aspect of the camp. 

“The best moment includes everything on and outside the pitch. I enjoyed everything.” 

That full residential environment — living, training, and competing alongside other ambitious players — helped reinforce exactly why he attended. 

“To refine my talent, be seen by scouts, and hopefully secure a contract with semi-professional or professional clubs.” 

The opportunity with Haringey Borough now represents an important next step toward that goal.
