Malasa, who plays as a left winger, displayed great pace and vision at his trial in Essex, as well as the ability to beat a man and deliver an accurate cross.

He said, "I'm generally quite fit, I go for a jog in the morning and evening and I play games for my uni side. I also play for my Sunday league team every week which helps maintain my match fitness."
