Daniel Parkinson, Aged 20, Trial At Semi Pro Club Grays Athletic
Great news today at the UK Football Trials office as 20 year old Daniel Parkinson has been scouted from our London Trials to go for Pre Season with Grays Athletic. Daniel a quick attacking midfielder showed excellent game understanding, vision, awareness, close control, creativity and was a stand out communicator in the whole trial.
Daniel tells his story: "I attended two London UK Football Trials in London which were both unsuccessful but feedback from the scouts was that I was getting better. It gave me the fuel to work even harder on my game. Coming back a third time was good, I knew what had to be done to get selected. I train everyday, always eating healthy foods." Daniel is a great example to players in their late teens and early 20's who think it might be too late - he is proof that it isn't! "My message to other "older" players like me - is that you can’t get upset or give up after 1 or 2 set backs – almost every player in the game would have had a set back, but it's how you choose to respond!" We wish Daniel every success with his trial and congratulate him on his successful trial performance.
