UK Football Trials are delighted to announce that 11-year-old Radjeep Palit has signed a 2-year-deal with Championship club Huddersfield Town. The winger has been training with the academy for the last 6 weeks after he was scouted at our football trial in leeds in February and was given the opportunity to sign with the club last week. His Dad, Victor, said: "We're delighted with the news. Obviously this is a great thing and Rajdeep is really enjoying his time at Huddersfield. I'm so pleased for him."

Rajdeep was scouted by the club at our trial in Leeds this February. He displayed strength, speed and excellent ball control - after impressing scouts going forward, the moment he caught the eye was after tracking back 30 yards and making a last-ditch tackle.

Rajdeep had been monitored by the club in the past but received a call shortly after his football trial with us inviting him to train with the club's academy. He has been training with the club for 6 weeks and was last week offered a deal to keep him at the club for the following two seasons. Victor added: "Huddersfield is perfect for Rajdeep, they're his hometown club and was very excited by the news. He's got to know the academy boys already and has fit in well."

He plays football as much as he can, training between Huddersfield, his school and his current side Elland Juniors FC, where he plays a year above himself, he manages to train or play 4 times a week. He also practices a lot by himself at home and can do more than 1,000 keep-ups already.

Speaking about his UK Football Trials experience, Victor said: "He was asking me to take him to a football trial for a long time, he wanted to compare himself to other players. Everything from the emails we got to prepare him for the trial through to the trial itself was brilliant, he loved it. We're thankful to UK Football Trials for presenting us with this opportunity."
